Randeep Hooda’s Inspector Avinash to Hit the Big Screen

Randeep Hooda’s popular OTT series Inspector Avinash is all set to be made into a film, as confirmed by director Neerraj Pathak. The series, which had its second season release this month, will now take the show to cinema halls.

From OTT to Big Screen

After the successful film adaptation of OTT series Mirzapur, there has been a buzz about more hit Indian shows getting a big-screen go-ahead. And now, Inspector Avinash is the latest to join the bandwagon. Director Neerraj Pathak confirmed the news, stating that they have already started working on the script.

Script and Shooting

Pathak revealed that they are working on three scripts in parallel and will zero in on one within a fortnight. The film will be based on the real-life story of encounter specialist Avinash Mishra, with Randeep Hooda reprising his role. The director also hinted that new faces and characters may be introduced in the film.

Shooting Locations

The film will be shot in Uttar Pradesh, where the series was primarily shot. Pathak mentioned that they will return to Lucknow and Ayodhya to shoot the film, as these locations hold significance in the story.
